A Mission of Service
On April 3, 2017, Englander dZignPak launched the 50 Weeks of Giving campaign with an employee celebration at our Dallas plant on Monday and the following Friday, April 7, at the Waco facility. Employees enjoyed a catered lunch, laughs, and giveaways, along with interviews and first-hand stories on the company’s history from our founders, Louie Englander (Englander Container Co.) and Ted Hager (Hager Container). Beyond business, a primary focus on customer service, and providing for employees, a major key to success throughout the years revolved around continued community involvement. From little league baseball, the Chamber of Commerce, and many other community organizations, the company became a family business full of adopted members throughout Waco and Central Texas.
Continuing the Tradition of Giving Back
Today, contributing to the success of each and every customer is still the Core Purpose of Englander dZignPak, with a focus on four core values; Put the customer before everything else, Have honesty and integrity in what we do, Provide for our employees and their families, Give back to our community. Giving back fittingly became the theme for commemorating the company’s 50th Anniversary, and sparked the 50 Weeks of Giving. Marty Englander, CEO Englander dZignPak explains, “In honor of our 50 years in business, we have decided to follow one of our core values and give back to the communities we live and work in. It is important to our business that the communities we operate in thrive, allowing our company to thrive as well. Over the next 50 weeks we will be supporting a organization in one of our communities either financially, with manpower or both.”
Over each of the next 50 weeks EDZP will focus on a community organization chosen by employees and the existing list of annual recipients, with donations of financial support, manpower or both. Since the kick-off, April has been a busy month, with the company and employees showing support in Waco volunteering and sponsoring for CASA’s Crawfish Boil, the American Cancer Society of Dallas and the Susan G. Komen Ozark Race for the Cure in Northwest Arkansas. It’s a strong start, but only the beginning for Englander dZignPak’s 50th Anniversary and the 50 Weeks of Giving campaign.
